# Hiding Dock Icon

You can effectively hide the dock icon, keeping your workspace organized while still having access to Screen Studio through the top menu bar.

## How to hide the dock icon

1. Launch the Screen Studio application.
2. Go to the top menu bar and click on **`Screen Studio`**
3. From the dropdown menu, choose **`Show Settings`**
4. In the pop-up settings window, locate the `General` tab.
5. When located, toggle on the `Hide Dock Icon` setting. This will ensure that the Dock icon is hidden when there are no open projects and no recordings in progress.
